The National Public Health Emergency Team has reported 396 more cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.
This brings the total number of cases to 32,933.
Of the latter cases, 241 were in Dublin, 36 in Cork, 19 in Donegal, 12 in Galway, 11 in Meath, 11 in Kildare, nine in Monaghan, seven in Louth, six in Clare, six in Offaly, six in Waterford and five in Wicklow, with the remaining 27 cases spread across 11 counties.
No more deaths were reported on Sunday, leaving the balance at 1,792.
Dr. Ronan Glynn, Acting Health Department Medical Director, tonight urged people to take action to help break the chains of transmission.
“The cases we are reporting today were seeded in the last week.
“This virus is transmitted from person to person. We now have a collective task across the country to break the chains of transmission and stop the spread of this virus.
“Plan to see half as many people this week as last week. When you meet up, do so safely – keep your distance, wear a face cover if applicable, and wash your hands.
“Every individual action we take to interrupt the transmission of this disease keeps us and our families safe.”
