A man tragically died after a fatal car accident in Wexford on Thursday morning.
Gardai attended the scene of the single-vehicle accident around 9.20 a.m. Thursday morning.
The incident occurred in Ballyeden, Davidstown, Enniscorthy, County Wexford.
A man in his 30s who was the sole occupant of the vehicle was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Since then, his body has been removed and an autopsy will be performed at a later date.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardai attended the scene of a fatal single vehicle traffic collision that occurred at approximately 9:25 am on Thursday, December 31, 2020, in Ballyeden, Davidstown, Enniscorthy, County Wexford .
“The sole occupant of the car involved, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Since then, the body has been removed for an autopsy to be carried out at a later date.
“The road was closed for a period while forensic collision investigators examined the scene, but it is now completely reopened.
“Gardaí is calling for witnesses to this collision to come forward and for road users who may have camera footage (including the dash cam) traveling in the area at the time so that these images are available to Gardaí.
