DONALD Trump gained a final push today when Georgia confirmed that it would conduct an electoral vote recount.
With the difference between the votes cast by Trump and Biden less than 0.5%, the Trump campaign had the right to demand a recount.
Georgia elections official Gabriel Sterling now says the final result may not be known until the end of the month, although traditionally counts only report a difference of a few hundred votes in any direction, while the current difference is of 1,586.
The news came as the presidency appeared to be pulling away from Trump earlier in the day after he fell dramatically behind Biden in key Pennsylvania state.
Biden outpointed Trump by 9,027 votes in Pennsylvania in a staggering increase that puts the Democrat on the path to a comprehensive victory and paves the way for him to beat Trump by 306 votes in the Electoral College in 2016.
If Pennsylvania were called by Biden, he would already have enough Electoral College votes to be named president, and he wouldn’t even need to win in the states of Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada.
Of course, it would also render Georgia’s count nonsensical.
