20 ‘young wild animals armed with batons’ hit people randomly in Dublin area

There were embarrassing scenes in North Dublin over the weekend when a gang of “teenage wild animals” allegedly beat up and robbed locals while people enjoyed what could be their last weekend for some time.

It is understood that Gardai is investigating incidents apparently involving a group of 20 Dublin youth who were terrorizing and attacking random people on Arbor Hill yesterday and Saturday.

Bridewell Garda Station is asking people to come forward following the several unprovoked attacks reported in the northern downtown area.

A source told Dublin Live: “They were like a bunch of wild animals.

“They are all teenagers, young people. They beat up any random person and stole bikes from them over the weekend.

“There seemed to be about 20 of them and they have been instilling fear in people in the area for the past two days.”

Another witness reported seeing three young children being attacked by the group and claimed that they were “beaten with a baton and seriously injured” during the assault.

In another part of a similar incident, an armed gang of 50 teenagers from North Dublin broke into another North area last week in an ongoing local war with young residents there.

The huge and feared group, believed to be from neighboring Ballymun, descended on Swords equipped with “baseball bats and knives” as part of their ongoing local war on the north side.

A source told Dublin Live that the Ballymun gang was biking looking for the Swords group as the minor dispute took a major turn.

The source said: “There were about 50 boys who broke into the area from Ballymun.

“They were riding their bikes and looking for certain members of the Swords group.
