There were 13 incidents of alleged travel rule violations in the first nine days of Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions, and the files were sent to the Director of Public Prosecution, according to An Garda Síochána.
A file was sent to the DPP regarding the non-use of face covers.
An Garda Síochána has operated 132 checkpoints a day on the main roads since the Level 5 restrictions were introduced on October 22, as well as around 1,000 on the secondary and secondary roads.
Gardaí says it has also been conducting checks on business premises to make sure they comply with public health regulations.
As of October 31, there had been 11 incidents in which the premises had continued with alleged infractions
Gardaí says the files will be sent to the DPP.
The vast majority of retail outlets complied or complied when asked to do so.
Deputy Commissioner John Twomey said gardaí would continue to focus its attention on retailers who may be in violation of regulations.
Gardaí also says that there have been five incidents related to the failure to provide contact tracing details on the landing forms.
Mr. Twomey added: “I would like to remind the public that Gardaí across the country are here to help in this difficult time, particularly those who are vulnerable or feel isolated.
