Ireland Baldwin says she ‘was attacked by a woman who was high on her head’, shares photos


Ireland Baldwin is in recovery mode.

The 24-year-old model took to Instagram on Saturday to tell fans she was ‘attacked’.

The post also contained two close-up photos of Baldwin’s face, which sported dark bruises under one eye and stuck to her cheek.

“Yesterday afternoon I was attacked by a woman who was high above her thoughts about drugs and desperate for cash,” the star said. “She covered me in my face in a parking lot and took my belongings and jumped into a getaway car while her husband stepped up.”

The woman was ‘arrested’, said Baldwin, daughter of actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger.

“Luckily I had witnesses and I got assist really quickly,” she continued. “The cops told me this often happens because people are currently desperate for money because of Coronavirus and people without jobs.”

The star then explained that she shared her story in an attempt to be useful to her followers.

“This post is to remind everyone to be really careful and look at your surroundings,” she concluded. “These are really tough times and we need to look apart.”

Baldwin’s stepmother, Hilaria Baldwin, showed support in the comments.

“I am so glad you are safe now,” she wrote. “We love you.”

Other fans also sent wishes their way.

“Omg stay safe !!!!” said one. “Send your love !!!”

“Holy s – t … glad you’re good, though,” wrote another. “So sorry that happened to you.”

A third added: “I’m sorry this happened to you! So horrible! So many people acted so desperately and scared and irrationally.”

The attack came roughly a week after Baldwin celebrated six years of freedom from her eating disorders with another Instagram post.

“I was able to announce that today is August 15, and today marks six years since I was free of anorexia and bulimia and all my other eating disorders and eating disorders that I have had for many years,” she said in a video.
