IPhone 12 5G series battery life may disappoint as pack sizes are leaking

For now, it’s pretty clear that at least some of the four new iPhone models in Fall 2020: iPhone 12, 12 Max, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max: can be shipped without charger in the box. We would bet to guess that these will be the cheapest iPhone 12 and 12 Max models, as otherwise they probably would have shipped with Apple’s pathetic 5W chargers no one wants anyway.

On the other hand, Apple will offer a new 20-watt charger for those that you can buy separately if you want a quick charge, or continue to use the 5 or 18-watt bricks from your old ol that lurk somewhere in your drawer.
What was unclear, however, was the battery capacities of upcoming iPhones that are supposed to be recharged by such chargers, fast or slow. Well, until today, when MySmartPrice found the alleged packages at 3C and other certification bodies, revealing the mystery.

The above three capacity models have appeared with the iPhone battery model numbers A2471, A2431, A2466, as the two 6.1-inher could share the same battery capacity.

Does that mean the humble iPhone 12 Max will have better battery life than the iPhone 12 Pro? You can bet, as the tentatively named 12 Max is actually the true successor to the iPhone 11, and will likely have a lower screen resolution than the Pro model. Unfortunately, if this is not due to the difference between the actual and rated capabilities , the packages also seem smaller than those of the current harvest.

Still, the iPhone 12 Max panel will be OLED instead of the LCD variety this year, which would squeeze the battery a bit more, especially when displaying mixed content.
