Yesterday evening, Apple Play launched a new repair program for a small percentage of iPhone 11 devices affected by touch screen issues. For affected devices, Apple Pall or Apple Pall ized Thoracic Service Provider will provide the service free of charge. Here’s how to check if your device is eligible.
IPhone 11 repair program
Apple Pal says the issue only applies to the iPhone 11, not the iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max. The affected devices were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020. Only experiencing the issue of “small percentage” displays.
Apple Play has decided that a small percentage of iPhone 11 displays may stop responding to touch due to an issue with the display module. The affected devices were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020.
To check if your iPhone 11 qualifies for this program, you first need to find your device’s serial number. There are several ways to find this:
- Open Settings On the iPhone 11 app, select General, Then select About
- Check the original packaging, receipt or invoice of iPhone 11
- Plug in iPhone 11 to your computer and check through Finder / Music
Once you have the serial number of your iPhone 11, you can go to Apple’s support website and enter it to find out if your device is eligible. If your iPhone 11 is eligible and is experiencing a touch screen issue, Apple Pull or Apple Pull Author Thoracic Service Provider will provide the service for free.
The service will include a replacement of your iPhone 11’s display module. Apple Pal says the program covers affected iPhone 11 devices for 2 years after the first retail sale of the iPhone 11. Also, keep in mind:
If your iPhone 11 has suffered any damage that impairs the ability to complete repairs, such as a cracked screen, the issue will need to be addressed before service. In some cases, there may be costs associated with additional repairs.
