Inter Milan-Shakhtar score: Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez make Nerazzurri to UEFA Europa League final

Inter Milan have punched a ticket to the Europa League final after defeating Shakhtar Donetsk, 5-0, on Monday by braces from Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku. The Nerazzurri will face Sevilla for the right to be crowned as Europa League champions on Friday in Cologne, Germany.

Inter found their breakthrough in the first half after a long ball possession and a cross from the corner by Nicolo Barella and in the 19th minute walked home by Lautaro Martinez.

When the second half started, Inter continued with their offensive attack despite Shakhtar making an attempt to even out the pace. Danilo D’Ambrosio would double Inter’s lead just over the hour mark, with Martinez scoring a second goal to make it 3-0.

Lukaku would continue with his Europa League dominance and ice the game with a goal a brace of his own, scoring two extra goals in the winning minutes. Lukaku became the first player in Europa League history to score in 10 consecutive matches, a streak dating back to November 2014 from his days at Everton.
