The outage appears to be the third Facebook outage in a week. On Tuesday, the WhatsApp messaging platform stopped working for its 2 billion users for about an hour, with outages concentrated in Europe and Brazil, and users were unable to send or receive messages. Pinterest, Spotify, and Tinder and other popular apps were temporarily unavailable to iPhone users on July 10 as a result of a bug in Facebook’s software development kit.
