Injuries Reported After Louisville Armed Militia Showdown

At least two people appeared to have been injured in Louisville when groups of armed militias arrived in the city center in a duel of protests over the death of Breonna Taylor, according to reports.

They were reportedly shot around 1 pm Saturday with indications that it may have been an accidental shot, the Louisville Courier Journal reported.

Two people appeared to have been pulled out on stretchers, local journalist Jessie Cohen tweeted.

An armed group of black militiamen calling themselves NFAC, or “No F ** king Around Coalition,” said it would come to Louisville to protest the murder of Breonna Taylor in March by police. That prompted the far-right militia group Three Percentives to announce that it would have “boots on the ground” in the city, according to the Courier Journal.

Members of the Tres Percentros appeared heavily armed with assault rifles, pistols and ammunition, the newspaper reported. The group had claimed they wanted to support the police.

Police with riot gear intervened between the two groups earlier in the morning, the newspaper reported.
