Injured New York Jets ready to play with anyone’s ‘pulse’: Coach Adam Gas Quips

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – Wide receiver Jamieson Kroder is expected to miss his second straight game with a hamstring injury.

The Reeling Jets (0-2) will be without their top three wide receivers and top runners when they face the Indianapolis Colts (1-1) on Sunday. Even the two starting offensive linemen are unlikely to play.

Discussing the possible injury transfer, coach Adam Gass said “those who have a pulse right now” need to be prepared to play.

The Jets were hoping for Croder’s return, but the injury lasted eight days and he did not start running.

“If I, for some reason, think he’s feeling a lot better in the next few days, but I’ll say he’s suspicious, I won’t close the door on him,” Gass said.

Brishad Perimen, who anchored the San Francisco 49ers in Sunday’s fight, will probably miss at least two games. Rookie wide receiver Denzel Memes, who is likely to play the lead role, is on reserve injured by a hamstring injury. Their starting receivers on Sunday will be Corp. Chris Hogan, Braxton Barrios and Josh Malone, who have been in and out of the practice team for the past three weeks.

Le’Vion Bell (hamstring) is also starting on the injured reserve, which has been replaced by Frank Gore. They will extend the running back rotation in front of the Colts, which could mean that the rookie will carry more of La Mical Perin.

The offensive line remained injury-free, but center-corner Connor McGover (hamstring) changed Sunday when he was left in the fourth quarter. He’s not practicing, and it looks like he could dress up as an emergency center on Sunday. Josh Andrews will take his place.

George Fant will not play after suffering a concussion on Wednesday in practice. It collided with a linebacker and is in connection protocol. Chuma Adoga will start instead.

“If I look at it because we’re the only team going through this, it will be one thing, but when you look around the league, you see people moving from left to right, even if it’s in practice. In sports, ”Gas said. “Soft-tissue things happen to us. It looks like some other teams are going through big, big, season-end type injuries.”
