Infinity Ward discovers fixes coming after Warzone & Modern Warfare Season 5

Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward have confirmed that a number of bug fixes after Warzone and Modern Warfare Season 5 will come in an almost future update, sorting out some sort of frustrating issues.

Despite the incredible popularity of Warzone – which hit 75 million players within 6 months of its release – it has received a fair amount of criticism for hackers and bugs. The former stays free throughout, but Infinity Ward go out of their way to make it as bug-free as possible.

We saw a quick patch earlier in August for a notorious ‘demon gun glitch’, and the developers have now given a series of updates on what players can expect later in season 5.

Warzone hackers have been plaguing the game since its launch.

Probably the most prominent of all fixed bug fixes is related to players pulling their parachutes while making the smallest jumps.

Infinity Ward responded to a clip from streamer TimTheTatman some time ago, and it has now been confirmed via their Trello board that a fix will come in a future update.

The glitch has actually been present in Warzone since the launch of the game, so many players will be disappointed to hear that it is no longer an issue.

Another Warzone-specific bug that has been fixed related to the ability to self-sustain, which was found to be frequently broken following the Season 5 update. The bugs are specifically related to the UI when using self-revive, because it does not show when a player has it, and does not ask them to use it when it downt. Infinity Ward have confirmed that this will be fixed.

Nor will there be a fix for Quads specifically regarding Most Wanted contracts, with teammates misrepresenting on mini-cards. These are not the only Warzone issues that are sorted, but they are probably the most important.

Quads fixes will be on the way for those who play Warzone in the fourth.

In terms of Modern Warfare itself, the most notable fix comes to Tracker’s perk. Players have noticed the benefits of the Tracker perk after respawning, even if they did not anticipate it. Needless to say, this has given significant advantages to certain players, and will be fixed in the next multiplayer update.

Warzone bug fixes are coming soon

  • Players have reported seeing Tracker footprints on the ground after respawn, even if they do not have the perk.
  • Players have reported multiple issues with rank and Battle Pass advancement, as well as not getting credit for missions and challenges.
  • Tracers lose their impact VFX when the ammunition is changed from the standard 5.56 NATO ammunition on the M4A1.
  • Season 5 Challenge of Week 1 reads: “Call in the personal UAV Killstreak 7 times.” Must be written as Personal Radar.
  • While jumping in certain areas of Verdansk, the player’s parachute may open.
  • Yellow mark of your name in the Squad widget is missing in BR Buy Back.
  • Players are seeing multiple issues with UI even reverting to our latest update.
  • Player’s mini-map icon had both the downed icon and the arrow when the player started the Most Wanted contract in BR Quads.

In terms of when they will be confirmed, there were no specifications available. However, we have seen major updates coming out on Tuesday for Warzone, so August 25 looks like a potential date.

We will of course provide you with all patch notes as the next updates of the games go live.
