The Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Bur Burrow injured multiple ligaments in his left knee on Sunday, sources told ESPN.
An MRI showed Burroughs tearing his ACL and MCL and encountering other structural problems.
Burroughs was sent off in the third quarter of Sunday’s 20-9 defeat in Washington. In a tweet on Sunday afternoon, Burroughs said “see next year,” indicating that his 2020 season is over.
Burroughs was at the team’s facility on Monday and has been in good spirits since the injury at the end of the season, teammates said. Bengals second-year coach Zack Taylor is expected to meet with reporters around ET on Monday at 3 p.m.
