In a rare move, Netflix will stream the original free streaming service on Pluto TV

In a rare licensing move, Netflix’s hit drama series Narcos It will be available for free streaming on Pluto TV from October 20th.

The deal marks the first time Narcos U.S. Streaming is available to viewers without a Netflix subscription and for free. (The show was previously licensed to Univision by Linear Deals.)Narcos And Narcos: Mexico) Will be available to stream within its own dedicated channel as part of Pluto TV’s Crime Drama and Narco Novellas channel lineup as well as for those who want to do a marathon for the show. The first season of the show will air Week night at 10 ppm ET. Catch-up episodes will be available the next day starting at 8PM ET. The goal is to start a new season of the series every month by February 2021.

While Narcos Will still be available to stream on Netflix, the streamer will no longer be able to call it exclusive – a matter of pride for company executives. While Netflix often licenses shows from other networks and companies, including Pluto TV owner ViacomCBS, Netflix rarely shows licenses to competitors. Netflix doesn’t have it NarcosHowever, it is owned by Gomont International Television, a position that paved the way for the deal.

Pluto TV is a “cornerstone” in ViacomCBS’s streaming business, as CEO Bob Bakish has repeated over the years. The service has more than 22 million subscribers, and ViacomCBS estimated in February that number would reach 30 million. With the epidemic, however, and people looking for an affordable way to entertain themselves, free ad-supported streamers like Pluto TV are likely to reap those benefits. Now, Pluto TV can also offer its customers the most popular Netflix show for free.

Speaking of Netflix, while the deal is extremely rare, this isn’t the first time the Netflix-branded show has come anywhere else. Comedy Central signed on to this exclusive linear right Bojek Horseman, One of the original Netflix shows is by Disney CEO Michael Eisner.
