The Chiefs, Bills and Steelers have already earned playoff berths at the AFC. The other playoff spot will go to four of the five teams: the Titans, Colts, Browns, Ravens and Dolphins. And the Dolphins are the team most likely to be left behind.
Based on Sunday’s Vegas line, the Dolphins will be the team that will be left if all the favored teams win. Here’s the point spread for games related to the AFC Playoff picture:
Bill is a 2-point favorite against the Dolphins.
Ravens is the 11.5-point favorite against the Bengals.
Brown is the 9.5-point favorite against Steelers.
The Colts are a 14-point favorite against the Jaguars.
The Titans are a 7.5-point favorite against the Texans.
Bill’s coach Sean M. Cadermot declined to say whether he was making his debut on Sunday. If Bill plays to win, the Dolphins will have to play a great game to beat Bill, which will capture the playoff berth. If Bill gives rest to Josh Allen and the other key players, it will be a huge favor for the Dolphins – and a blow to the Colts and Titans, who will see their playoff path narrow.
The good news for dolphins is that they control their own paths on the plazas. The bad news is that smart money is missing on the dolphins.
