He spoke mostly with Chris Cuomo earlier this year about the “Agreement with Black America” to address racial inequality. Cube said he has never met Trump and he does not believe in his campaign or Joe Biden’s campaign – they are moving forward with action.
“I didn’t rush to work with any campaigns. Both campaigns approached me,” Cube said. “Both campaigns wanted to talk to me about an agreement with Black America. One campaign said, ‘We like what you have, but let’s really move on after the election.’ And said in a campaign, ‘We like what you have, do you mind talking to us about it?’ And that’s what I did, so I didn’t run to anyone. ”
The entertainer tweeted Wednesday that the Trump campaign has made adjustments to “his plan” for Black America after talking to him.
Cube is ready to work with both teams, he said and with whom he will work.
“I’m not playing more of these political games, we’re not part of a team … so I’m going to go to whoever is in power and talk to them specifically about our problems,” Cube said, referring to “our” Black Americans doing. “I’m not going to talk about minorities there, I’m not going to talk about color or diversity there or any of them. I’m going there for black Americans, descendants of slaves.”
During Friday’s interview, Cuba spoke of closing the wealth gap and how those who don’t have money are respected in this country.
“The problem is in America, black people don’t own capital,” he said. “We can’t survive another 100 years living this way in America.”
Katrina Pierce, a senior adviser to the president, tweeted on Tuesday that Cube helped develop Trump’s “platinum plan.”
“Leaders are at the forefront, haters are at the forefront,” she wrote on Twitter. “Thanks for leading!”
Ice Cube unveiled its 13-part plan in July, which includes issues such as police and prison reform and interest-free loans for home ownership. Although he condemned Trump in 2016, he has said in recent months that he wants change regardless of political party.
“If someone has a problem with it, it feels like a personal problem,” Cube told Cuomo.
