DJ Eric Morillo – Known for his hit film “I Like to Move It” in 1993 – Died … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us that the bodies of the DJ and music producer were found on Miami Beach this morning … The circumstances surrounding their deaths are currently unclear.
Known for his work in international house music, Morillo made his most successful film in the 90’s with the electro-dance track “I Like to Move It” … which he named Reel 2 Real Stage.
He is a 3-time winner of Best House DJ at the DJ Awards and 3-time winner of Best International DJ, including his most recent win in 2009.
Morillo died just weeks after he was arrested in Miami on sexual battery charges. The accused victim claims that she and Morillo were both dejang then moved to his place. She alleges that she resisted his sexual progress, and then fell asleep in his place, but woke up naked … Morillo was standing next to him, also naked.
On August 6 he turned himself in.
Morillo was 49 years old.
