Exactly one year after her very public divorce, singer Miley Cyrus is preparing for her first single from 2020. Her break came from music after she split from her now-ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. But now she’s back – and that’s why the plagued texts seem appropriate for the occasion.

But the lyrics that were most focused on were transferred into the lyrical video and subsequent music video for the song. “I want my house in the hills / I do not want the whiskey and pills / I do not give up easily / but I do not think I am.” This was consistent with the story that Hemsworth was using drugs and alcohol, and Cyrus was not on board.
