How to watch Anime Expo Lite and FunimationCon

It’s certainly a weird summer, but while Anime Expo and Funimation can’t attend their usual summer conventions, they’re not leaving fans with new virtual conventions full of announcements and other cool events! Anime Expo is expanding with Anime Expo Lite and Funimation has launched FunimationCon, and both major conventions will take place over the weekend of July 3-4. For those looking to scratch the itch from the convention for this unusual summer 2020, this will be a completely free way to do it. This is how you can tune in!

Both conventions are currently running as of this writing and each has full schedules. Anime Expo Lite offers free streams on YouTube and Twitch with different content at different times. You can find the first YouTube channel for Anime Expo Lite Day 1 events at the link here, and you can find the Twitch stream for Day 1 events here.

As for Day 2 events, you can find the YouTube link here. If you are interested in the full schedule of the two-day virtual event, you can find the full line of Anime Expo Lite panels, announcements and special events at the link here. Please note that all hours are on PDT. As for FunimationCon, this virtual convention is also free!

However, there is an additional hurdle to overcome for the virtual Funimation convention. It’s completely free, but you will need to register briefly before receiving a link to the appropriate convention by email. But at the same time, you also get a neat virtual badge for your problems! To find more information and register at FunimationCon, you can check the link here.

Funimation also revealed the full schedule for their two-day virtual convention, and you can find the full list of panels, announcements, and special events at the link here. Not only that, but Aniplex Online Fest events will also be included in both conventions so you don’t miss a great weekend of anime news.
