How to view your 2020 season schedule announcement

Afternoon worries about college football during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Southeastern Conference presses on and will announce its 2020 football schedule on Monday on SEC Network.

In July, the SEC determined that its teams would play a 10-game-only conference schedule with Week 1 set to begin Sept. 26. The championship game is scheduled for December 19 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The conference-only scheme eliminates major rivalry games such as Clemson and South Carolina, Florida and Florida State, and Georgia and Georgia Tech.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL IN SPRING? Here’s how it could work

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF: Can the playoffs go ahead without Big Ten and Pac-12?

As the SEC, Atlantic Coast Conference and Big 12 move forward, the Big Ten and Pac-12 receive pushback from players and parents for canceling its fall season.

Justin Fields, one of the Big Ten’s most prominent players, pleads for the conference to reverse his decision to postpone the season. The Ohio State quarterback and potential Heisman Trophy candidate made a #WeWantToPlay petition to Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren, the conference’s university presidents and athletic directors. The petition, which Fields tweeted on Sunday, had more than 200,000 signatures Sunday morning.

Parents of Iowa football players also continue their fight for fall football Friday morning with a hand-delivered letter to the Big Ten offices in Chicago.
