A smartwatch can be a useful companion when traveling. Samsung Galaxy smartwatches do not include native integration with Google Maps. However, you can still get Google Maps turn-by-turn navigation on your Samsung watch.
Samsung smartwatches do not come with Google apps pre-installed, nor are there any official apps in the Galaxy Store. Regardless of how you can get Google Assistant on a Samsung watch, there are also ways to use Google Maps.

A handful of apps bring integration of Google Maps to Samsung Galaxy Watches. Because watches have small screens, these apps typically focus on turn-by-turn navigation, rather than by browsing a map overview. We will show you how to get handy instructions on your wrist.
First, download the free Awesome Navigator app to your Samsung Smartwatch from the Galaxy Store.
You will also need the companion app on your Android phone. There are not many free options when it comes to Google Maps apps for Samsung watches, but we recommend Awesome Navigator because it is reasonably priced and easy to use.
You can purchase and install Awesome Navigator from the Play Store for $ 1.99, as of this writing.
Open the “Awesome Navigator” app on your phone. It will need access to your notifications, as this is how it transmits navigation descriptions to your watch. Tap “Enable listening notifications.”
This opens the “Notification access” menu for Android. Switch to the ‘Awesome Navigator’ option.
Tap “Allow” in the pop-up message to grant notification access to the app.
Return to the Awesome Navigator app if you are not automatically redirected. Tap “Got It” to confirm that you have the watch app installed.
Now, to get navigation instructions on your watch, open “Google Maps” on your phone and start navigating to a location.
This will launch the app on your Samsung Galaxy smartwatch and display the first instruction. The watch will vibrate as you approach an oncoming direction, and as a new instruction is given.
Unfortunately, you can not navigate on the watch.
