Cooking has never really been my forte.

For most of my 20s, “making dinner” really just meant putting some cheese on an omelette and microwaving it. I burned the instant chow mein until crisp. And bake? Forget this!

But I have tried to use these last few months to be more comfortable in the kitchen. So when chef Josh Emett, who was awarded a Michelin star, told me about Giorgio Locatelli’s spaghetti alla carbonara recipe, which he called “a must-have in any cook’s repertoire,” I decided to do my next personal test.

Even with a couple of bumps along the way, I ended up making a very delicious pasta dish, proving that this recipe is foolproof and approved by Michelin chef.
