The Titans (8-4) are tied with the Colts above the AFC South. Now Tennessee looks leading to another playoff run.
The Titans will face the Jaguars, who have lost 11 straight games, upsetting the Colts by 1 in a week. Can Jaguars find a way to stay competitive against their nemesis in running back Derrick Henry?
Tennessee won two straight games at Cleveland last week before losing 41-1-3. The Titans’ offense is heating up with a total of 0 points, and points and 35 points.
The plot of the game against Jacksonville is historically simple: pound the ball with Henry. In his past seven games against the Jaguars, Henry has automatic 100-plus rushing yards and touchdowns:
Jacksonville entered the game only 23rd in the Football Outsiders’ Run Defense DVOA and allowed the sixth-ranked yard the opposing back. The Jaguars have also allowed the backing of the third highest welcome, as well as keeping the door open for the occasional long Henry touchdown catch and run.
Ryan Tenehill has been warming up at the right time, consistent with the performance of the fantasy QB9, QB8 and QB2 over the past three weeks.
AJ Brown didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday, but on Friday he was a full participant, setting him up perfectly for a fantastic matchup – the Jaguars allowed wide receivers, fifth-most fantasy points to oppose sixth-ranked receiving yards, and 14 Touchdown.
Fellow wide receiver Corey Davis leveraged the overall Fantasy WR1’s performance in Week 13 with 11 receptions, 182 receiving yards and a touchdown. He will face cornerback Luke Barku, who is ranked 117th in the coverage rating per playerprofiler.
The Titans ’offense will also celebrate the return of top-efficient tight-end Jonu Smith, who topped the list with eight total touchdowns.
Tennessee’s biggest concern is generating a pass rush. The Titans have the second-lowest sacks in the NFL (14) and also failed to set a record against Brown. The Titans have also allowed an average of 31 points in their last five home games.
Jacksonville’s main concern is running back James Robinson (knee), who was confined throughout the week. That, he said, is expected to be a start, which would be a big relief for the fully centralized Jaguar crime in their space.
Illinois State’s Unfraft Rookie has seen the highest workload of any rear. Robinson is third in all NFL running backs at Racing Yards (968) and fifth in goals (56). Per playerprofiler, Robinson also ranks first with 86% chance share.
Regardless of the game’s script, Robinson will take a heavy part against Tennessee’s defense which has allowed a sixth-ranked scheduled-aligned fantasy point to oppose a running back, including 15 total touchdowns.
Veteran quarterback Mike Glennon is a fan down the center when he shows the possibility of throwing the ball deep. According to the establishment, Glenn has attempted the second highest pass for 26 yards (25%) in 26 qualified quarterbacks.
Jacksonville has created five legally acquired options, opting for more efficiency than efficiency. DJ Chark, Kylan Cole, Shenault, Chris Conley and Tyler Eiffert (suspicious) have all seen at least 46 goals this season. Rookie Colin Johnson also showed rhythm with Glenn, taking 14 goals and eight receptions in Jacksonville’s last two games.
The offense has become more aggressive due to the Jaguars’ poor defensive play, and has responded with at least 24 points in each of the previous two games. In a home match with little resistance from the Titans pass rush, the Jaguars have the depth of offensive playmakers, which could exceed their estimated 23-point team count.
The first time the two teams met back in Week 2, the Titans fled with a 33-30 victory. With 74 degree and limited wind weather forecasts, there is no reason to doubt another high-scoring case.
Tennessee are 21-4-1 in the regular season with Tennhill on the quarterback, including 9-2-1 this season. I match.51. I am taking the over which is the second highest in Sunday’s slate and he will be able to bet up to 53 .. points.
