What matters is not just what we do, but how we choose to do it.
Leo’s season begins on July 23, just a few days after the New Double Moon in Cancer. The Sun in Leo marks the beginning in the next chapter, helping to show us that how we do to build the life we want is as important as realizing what it is.
What is the Leo season?
The Leo season is defined as the period of time between July 23 and August 22 when the Sun transits this fire sign. While it is still an important moment on our journey, this season will be a little different with the absence of Leo’s New Moon.
However, this period really is one in which we can expect many movements based not only on the cycles of the moon, but also on the energy window that opens around this time each year. This is also the first month since May that we have not seen eclipses, so we can expect many of the lessons and moments of “ah-ha” that we have experienced since then will likely be put into practice. our own lives
But as we move forward at this time each year, we also tend to see movement because we feel an urgency in our lives. Perhaps even more so because of how 2020 has evolved.
At this point in the year, we generally all think that there are only a few months left, and we just want to make sure we not only make it count but also take action to end this year on a different note, starting in 2021 on one as well.
What can you expect during the Leo season, regardless of your zodiac sign?
These astrological transits will set the tone from July 23 to August 22.
Neptune-Jupiter Sextile on July 27
In astrology, a sextile is when two planets are 60 degrees from each other, which, while helpful, often carries with it a dose of karma from previous actions and the sowing of seeds in our past.
This is the second of a triad this year, and the third doesn’t occur until October. So while we may see a climax in our history surrounding these two planets, we won’t actually see the result until fall, which is also a theme surrounding our year.
It is as if all astrology said, “But wait, there’s more!” And there definitely is.
These two planets bring together our sense of spirituality, unconditional love, and the ability to dream of our sense of abundance and the plans we make for the future. In many ways, it challenges us not to plan what think It is feasible, but instead of not being afraid to dream of the life we want to create.
However, with Neptune and Jupiter in retrograde, it may be more about remaking plans (or reflecting on those plans) that we have already put in place so that, in the fall, we can make sure we are on the path to living our dreams, and also I have learned that we only receive what we accept in this life.
Full moon in Aquarius on August 3
The last time we experienced a full moon that was not An eclipse returned in early May, and while the eclipse season was needed on many levels, now is the time to start implanting everything into real change if we haven’t already. This is where that Aquarian energy becomes so important.
Aquarius is an air sign that is not only dynamic, but also very safe, secure, and a little rebellious. Aquarius doesn’t care what people say; this sign does not care if it maintains the status quo or not; in fact, sometimes this sign does its best to be different.
While many of us may have paused plans or ideas because we are concerned about the opinions of others, as this Full Moon occurs, that will be of less importance to us.
It will make us all just make our own moves, and let everyone else take care of their own.
Mercury enters Leo on August 4
With the planet of communication moving towards Leo’s fire sign, we can expect our conversations to be a little more heated and passionate.
But this is a good thing. This goes along with the Full Moon in Aquarius, and that Mars energy in Aries that we’ve already been dealing with.
We have to believe in what we want. We have to believe in our own thoughts and ideas, not to demonstrate them to others, but to know that, regardless of who agrees or disagrees, we can continue to trust.
At this point in our one-year history, this energy is also about having the pleasure of pursuing what we want and not censoring ourselves before speaking.
Mercury in Leo is not just about trust, it’s about passion. This means that while Leo will make us all follow our hearts, Mercury will make us talk about them.
Venus in Cancer on August 7
Although we have already said goodbye to the Cancer season this year and we have no more Cancer Moons until December, we will feel a change when the planet of love moves to this water sign that governs the home, family and committed relationships.
For us, that means our focus can drift away from casual dating and more to whether or not we can see the person we are engaged with become a more important part of our lives.
Venus in Cancer will help us separate those relationships that are more short-term, from those that may even seem familiar. But it will also change how we engage.
While astrology cannot transform those phobias of engagement between us, it can help influence those who have already been considering it. Which means more proposals are likely to happen right now, since it’s not just about love and romance, but who you want to build a home and life with.
Lion’s Gate Portal peaks on August 8
Every year, from July 26 to August 12, an energy portal is opened thanks to the star Sirius.
In this event, Sirius, Sun, Earth, and Orion’s Belt align, creating powerful high-frequency energy that can enter Earth from the Mayan era.
This portal peaks on August 8 (8/8), the numerological symbol for abundance and infinity, sometimes having links to divine associations.
This year you will feel ultra powerful as you align people with soul contracts and help set a higher frequency for the collective, which will show up both in our romantic relationships and in today’s social justice movement.
Retrograde Uranus on August 15
As if all the other retrograde planets weren’t enough, we will see Uranus, the planet of sudden and unexpected change, retrograde in Taurus, creating the opportunity for us to deepen the change that has been brewing for the past seven months.
Each year, Uranus goes retrograde for five months as we review what we have already set in motion, and we are deeply encouraged to surrender where we feel directed.
With this planet currently in transit through the sign of the Land of Taurus, we hope that these changes affect the foundations and existing plans of our lives, asking us not to be afraid to leave what we have so that we can receive even more.
New Moon in Virgo on August 18
At the end of the month, it seems that we are living lives in the first weeks of August. However, in many ways, it is because we have.
A lot is happening now, both personally and collectively, which means we must make sure we cover all of our bases. We have to pay attention to detail to make sure that the excitement of the next chapter doesn’t get in the way of us seeing what needs to be done first.
The new moons are a time to start, and Virgo is a detail-oriented earth goddess sign, meaning that as pleasure abounds, so do fine details.
Whether we want to realize it or not, it matters how we do something, especially when it is something we hope to have forever. How we start is important. It matters how we build our dreams, our lives, and even our love.
This New Moon may hit us as a reality check, but when the New Moon arrives in Libra next month, you’ll be glad you did.
