How does Tom Brady prepare the Bucs defense against QBs?

Much has been made about Tom Brady’s potential impact on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offense this season, and with good reason. But an underrated byproduct of his presence will be the impact he has on the Bucs’ defense.

As the Tampa Bay defense goes up against Brady in practice every day, especially with a young defensive backfield, the GOAT makes sure they are prepared for the best passers-by they will face on their regular season schedule of 2020.

“I think Tom has made her better in the way he covers her every zone and is very, very honest,” Bucs head coach Bruce Arians said via video conference interview Friday. “You can not cheat or he will find it and he will get the ball quickly out of his hand. It’s the same thing we’ll see with Drew [Brees] and Teddy [Bridgewater] – the ball comes out and they know where it’s going, so it’s been good for them to see it. ”

The Bucs will also have to face off against top quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers this season, in addition to a future Hall of Famer in Brees and the man who put Tampa Bay up as his injury replacement last year at Bridgewater.

But after a full training camp versus Brady, expect the Tampa Bay defense to be in mid-season form once they hit the field next month against a real opponent.
