The Thornbridge Mystery trailer shows a classic whodunnit. There is a very unfriendly-looking family living in a very unfriendly-looking mansion in Dartmoor. The family has a dark history, and, of course, for such an unholy family, their inn seems to be completely isolated. There is a murder staged as suicide – one died locked in a room inside. In a bit of a job-shift for Agent 47, he will both try to take out his target, but also play detective to investigate and solve the murder.
Lead writer Nick Price says “Hitman’s missions are very complicated with a lot of moving parts and a lot of characters that you can deal with in a wide variety of ways. In Dartmoor’s murder mystery we call it all up to 11. Every family member is a possible suspect and it has been the challenge to make sure that everything does not fall apart just because the player wants to play.In fact, that kind of behavior should be rewarded in a HITMAN game, so we worked hard to ensure that, depending on what a player discovers during their investigation, the outcomes may vary. ”
The Thornbridge Mystery is one of the Mission Stories available in Dartmoor. IOI says it’s a historic part of England known for its meadows, rocky hills, meandering rivers and dense wetlands.
