Hitman 3 is ‘what makes changes’ to Elusive Targets and launches Ghost Mode

And multiplayer is being phased out of Hitman 2

As the “dramatic conclusion” to the present Hitman trilogy, you would probably expect Hitman 3 to retain most of the side modes of the last game, especially considering the trajectory of IO Interactive with this series. That said, there are a few caveats and changes – some of which will be affected Hitman 2 players.

In a blog post, IO Interactive wrote out Hitman 3the mode:

  • Campaign: “A globe-trotting adventure to sprawling sandbox locations.”
  • Discover goals: “The stakes are high and the clock is ticking” but the developers are making “some changes to the Elusive Target formula that we will announce at a later date.”
  • Escalations: “Expect your gameplay skills to be maximized as new elements are thrown at you in each phase of the contract.”
  • Contract mode: “Choose your own goals, choose how to eliminate them, and then make it all happen.”
  • Sniper Assassin: “Can only be played in existing cards as a single player experience.”

Ghost Mode, Hitman 2is the one-on-one competitive multiplayer mode, will not be back for Hitman 3. Going one step further, IO shuts down the Ghost Mode servers Hitman 2 on August 31, 2020, and “take all these lessons on board for what we do in the future regarding multiplayer.”

If you’re worried about unlocking the Phantom Suit, you’ll be on top: it’s added as an unlock in Hitman 3. “

Similarly, IO Interactive plans to launch the co-op servers for Sniper Assassin Hitman 2 “for the [January 2021] launch of Hitman 3. “The team says it will” share an accurate timeline and a solution for the mode’s multiplayer trophies in the coming months, “so there’s at least some silver lining.

As for PC VR, “what I can tell you today is that Hitman 3 will include PS VR support at launch. “Uh he.
