The next general manager of the Texans team, Nick Saffron, was appointed Patriot VP of the player staff. Reactions are hard following the news that will make. A common thread contains two messages.
First, Easterby wins. Such as the executive VP of football operations. Jack Easterby. Saffron is an Easterbay guy, who probably sends E Esterby whatever power he can.
Second, Easterby Really Wins. Mike Gerafolo of NFL Media, Corn Ferry Search Firm reports Five candidates identified For the job: Texts Director of Players Employees Matt Bazirgan, player employee Trent Kirchner’s Seahawks VP, Steelers VP of Football and Business Administration, Omar Khan, Louise Riddick, and Scott Cohen, director of football research. Corn Ferry did not include saffron in its list of finalists.
But Saffron got the job, because that’s what Isterby wanted – and Isterby won the power struggle with Corn Ferry. (Corn Ferry probably still pays its six-figure fee to create the menu from which Texans ultimately do not choose.)
“Easterby is the wizard,” Gerafolo declared.
Others in league circles will use other terms to describe Easterby. In GM’s hire, however, Isterby found the man he was trying to get in 2019. Which, according to a league source, allows Easterby to continue pulling the strings without the obligation to be GM.
Next, the question arises as to whether Esterby will get his favorite coach. Some wonder if it will be the Patriots’ abusive coordinator Josh M. Cadinils, who hunted down the Colts three years ago and who took less interest in the recent rental cycle.
The first question is whether McDaniels is on the Corn Ferry list. If not, McDaniels could be the man for the job.
