Hilary Duff criticized some of California’s July 4 revelers on Saturday, criticizing their alleged behavior amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Detailing her holiday weekend on Instagram, the 32-year-old actress said she and her family “had a furious party in Mulholland.” [Drive]”Noting the lack of masks present.
“A – holes. No masks (of course), ”Duff told her 15.2 million followers. “Girls in bathing suits and louboutins waiting to line up in a club.”
Duff, who was joined by husband Matthew Koma, 33, and daughter Banks, 1, added how the actions of others could affect the future.
“California is in bad shape (in many ways), but not everyone thinks we all want to go out freely and travel and enjoy the summer,” said Duff. “It really seems like Americans just don’t care about each other.”
As of Thursday, 248,235 total cases have been reported in California, according to the state Department of Public Health, with more than 6,200 deaths.
Duff added: “It is embarrassing that we are worse than ever because people need to party and Karens will not wear masks!” The “Younger” star capped off his message with an apparent nod to Kanye West’s presidential offer.
“Oh, and I’m running for president,” he shared.
Coronavirus cases have continued to rise in the U.S., with Florida reporting 10,059 cases on Sunday, bringing the state total to 200,111.
