High school students shocked to hear ‘Bid’ student loan plan is really Trump’s: ‘I hate him, but that’s a start’


High school students told a Campus Reform correspondent that they approved of President Trump’s recent executive actions, delaying student loan payments and collection of payroll taxes – in the belief that such movements are praised by presumptive Democratic presidents nominated Joe Biden.

One student told Neret that postponing student loan payments “sounds like a good idea,” while another called it “great.”

“I hope he actually goes through with it,” said one student, adding that she hoped ‘Biden’ was not just a postman for an election.

“If I had student loans … that would help me a lot,” said another.

Responses varied after Neret revealed that the referrals were ordered by Trump as part of a series of executive actions of coronavirus last weekend.

“He seems to be helping the economy [those] two measures, “replied one student.

“I hate Trump, but that’s a good start,” said another young woman.

Another student said she did not like the interlocutor either: “[S]oh, it’s shocking that he did that. “

“I’m really not all about President Trump, but the part of funding schools to give us money while we’re in this crisis … it helped,” she added.

For his part, Biden on Thursday called on the government to mandate all Americans to wear masks in public for “at least the next three months.”

“It’s not about your rights, it’s about your responsibility,” he said.
