Here is the first-ever 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor Spy video with exhaust note

Just like that, we have a spy video of the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor appearing on the eve of the launch of the new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX 2021. Although 2021 is not that far off, this kind of means that the next-generation Raptor has already been pretty much in the works. We know that a new Raptor will make its appearance soon and is often only available in the four-door SuperCrew body. This video seems to support this theory. The video itself was posted on a 4th generation Ford F-150 forum, showing the car driving across surface streets and a bit of the highway.

For those who remember, the F F150 Raptor lost its V8 powerplant back in 2017 in favor of the EcoBoost V6, and this video may just prove that the V8 is back. Sure, the audio is a bit narrow because of the device’s microphone, plus the highway shots are all just sound of wind, but those who can better decipher the exhaust note at some of the intersection parts can climb. Some people say it sounds like the V6 with a modified exhaust, while others say that the lack of EcoBoost cries means the V8 is back.

In any case, the video gives us a clear shot of the lines, proportions and enormous tires of the truck. Many of the other important details are still taken care of behind the usual camo you will find on test drive. Could the upcoming Raptor be available with the turbo V6 and the V8?

It would not be too far, considering that the Ram 1500 TRX will rock various engines at launch to cover the pricing game. Let’s see how it plays out, and we look forward to a great battle between these two trucks very soon.
