Heidi Klum ‘allowed to travel’ with children to Germany for work after reaching agreement with Seal


Heidi Klum and ex-husband Seal reached a friendly care agreement whereby the Next top model host to bring her four children to Germany later this year.

After filing an emergency motion last week in which Klum, 47, claimed that Seal, 57, would not allow her children – Leni, 16, Henry, 14, Johan, 13, and Lou, 10 – to travel to Europe because of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the couple quickly arranged and agreed to let the children travel to Europe while the model is there for work.

In the custody agreement obtained by PEOPLE on Thursday, it is stated that Seal has the right to have “extended time” with her prior to the departure of the children and upon her return to Los Angeles. He can also visit the children at any time when they are in Germany, where he and Klum “work together and work together to make arrangements.”

The ex reached a custody agreement after Heidi Klum filed an emergency motion in which she claimed that Seal would not allow her children to travel with her to Germany for work.

However, in the event that the United States closes its borders due to coronavirus, the agreement states that Klum “must make immediate arrangements in an attempt to return home with the children before the borders close.”

Klum is contractually obligated to film season 16 of Germany’s next top model in October in Germany, and at the time of her submission in distress, she said that although she usually brings the children with her when they have to travel for work, Seal had “not yet approved this trip.”

“I am aware of all the necessary precautions associated with the COVID-19 virus, and would never endanger our children – I have taken all precautions for Germany in the same way as in the United States,” he wrote. Klum in her statement, adding that she is “grateful” to have the opportunity to work given the current state of the economy.

Klum usually explained that as well Next top model is being filmed in Los Angeles to accommodate her family, but the German cast and crew members are unable to enter the US due to the pandemic.

Klum and Seal’s daughter Leni also filed a statement in court saying “this is difficult because I love both my parents, but I feel I need to speak up.”

“I understand that my siblings are too young to talk to the judge, so I am happy to speak for all of us,” she wrote. “My mother has to film in Germany for a few months and my siblings and I want to go with her. So far my father has not let us go, although we have tried to tell him our reasons why we want to.”

The divorce of Klum and Seal was finalized in nine years of marriage in October 2014. She married Tom Kaulitz last year after the guitarist’s Christmas Eve proposal that included her children.
