News 12 Forecasters keep a close eye on some strong storms that could affect the area Saturday afternoon until night.
Expect partially sunny skies on Saturday in hot, humid conditions with scattered thunderstorms. Some storms will bring heavy rain and gusty winds.
Long Island was able to see the strong line of storms that spread across the area between 4 pm and 9 pm

Storms are expected to leave the area at 11 pm
Saturday’s highs will be between 82 and 87 degrees, with temperatures from 85 to 90 degrees. On Saturday night, expect hot and muggy conditions with lows of 68-73 degrees.
On Sunday, expect sun and clouds with some showers and thunderstorms. The warm and humid temperatures will make it feel like temperatures of 85 to 90 degrees.
