(WSIL) – Southern Illinois Department of Health reported 37 new cases of the virus on Sunday, 11 of which were individuals in their teens or younger.
Those cases span Franklin, Jackson, Saline, White and Williamson counties.
Franklin County:
- Female: One child under 10, one in 60s and one in 70s
- Men: Four children under 10, one child over 10, one in their 20s and one in their 70s
To date, there have been 185 positive laboratories confirmed in Franklin County COVID-19 including one death. Of these positive cases, 86 have been recovered.
Jackson:
- Women: One in her 20s, one in her 30s, three in her 40s, and one in her 50s
- Men: Two preteens, one teen, and one in his 40s
According to the Department of Health, the province has so far confirmed 718 confirmed cases, including 19 related deaths. Health officials add that 12 people have been released from solitary confinement today, bringing the total release to 597. At present, 102 cases remain active.
Saline County:
- Male: One in 60s, at home and in isolation
To date, Saline County has confirmed a total of 131 lab positives, including two deaths.
White County:
- Woman: One in her teens, case status in progress
- Male: One in 40s, at home and in isolation
According to the Egyptian Department of Health, White County has had a total of 72 lab-confirmed positives.
Williamson County:
- Wife: One teenager, four in her 20s, one in her 30s, one in her 50s, two in her 60s and two in her 70s
- Men: One in her 20s, one in her 30s, and one in her 40s
To date, there have been a total of 416 laboratory confirmed positions in Williamson county, including five dead. Of these positive cases, 213
recovered.
Illinois Department of Public Health:
Health officials announced 1,382 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease, including 8 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH reports a total of 194,080 cases, including 7,636 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois.
