Cerezo was disappointed with the 2-1 defeat on the undefeated German side, but although he admitted that there was a lot of criticism for Simeone at the moment, he added that he did not pay much attention to the dissenting votes.
“Simeone is not untouchable and many did not agree with him yesterday. He is the one who grabs the team and if you do not like it, then go and buy your own club, build your own team and choose your own XI , “said Cerezo.
Simeone is Atletico’s second longest serving coach of all time and has a contract until 2022 with the club, which he has participated in two Champions League finals, two Europa League triumphs plus a La Liga title and one Copa del Rey.
