Hat’s Hathaway apologizes to the disability community following the response to ‘The Witches’

The actress took to Instagram with a statement: “I recently learned that many organs, especially children, are in pain due to the portrayal of the Grand High Witch in The Whits.”

She continued: “I start by saying that I try my best not to be afraid of the PC, but to be sensitive to the feelings and experiences of others, but it seems like a basic level of politeness that we should all try not to hurt others. “

Hathaway said he apologized to the community and was saddened to see that he hurt anyone.

“Anyone who really believes in omnipotence and really, hates cruelty, so sorry for the inconvenience.” “I’m sorry. I didn’t associate the organ difference with GHW when the character’s appearance was brought to me; if I had, I can assure you this would never have happened.”

Hathaway’s character in the movie has three fingers on each side, a position that is electrodectically identical, one limb disability.

A spokesman for Warner Bros. released a statement earlier this week addressing the reaction, saying the company was “deeply saddened to learn that portrayal of fictional characters in The Witches can upset people with disabilities.”

Hathaway added that it would perform better going forward.

“I especially want to say that I am sorry for children with organ differences: now that I know better I promise I will do better,” he wrote. “And I sincerely apologize to everyone who loves you as fiercely as I love each of my children: sorry I disappoint your family.”

She concluded her statement by leading followers to the Lucky Finn project, a non-profit organization that helps children with disabilities.
