1 Of course, these are not normal times, but I can remember a season of not Hard knuckles get less buzz and attention.
We’re all dealing with this little pandemic that is happening, and the NFL has been out of sight for a while, without thought. Plus, we now have the other three major sports back after a long dismissal, and college football dominates the headlines. But here it is Hard knuckles.
The latest season of the HBO show debuts Tuesday night and will, for the first time ever, feature two teams: the Chargers and Rams.
The NFL and HBO should have done everything in their power to get the Bucs. Even if they should have promised to turn parts of each episode into a TB12 infomercial, it would have been worth it. But we are stuck with the Chargers and Rams.
Hard knuckles had a stellar season in 2018 with the Cleveland Browns during Baker Mayfield’s rookie campaign, but flowed big time with the Raiders last year.
Perhaps the low expectations for the 2020 edition will help the long-running franchise, which has undoubtedly been hit by social media over the past few years.
Everyone thought the Raiders would bring a lot to the table, thanks to Jon Gruden and the Antonio Brown drama, but they ended up not bringing anything to the table.
The Browns drama played out every day on Twitter and Instagram, and the show could not deliver anything new. You also have not seen any of the show’s trademarks – players get cut – during the Raiders season.
Who knows how the performance will be different in the age of coronavirus? And maybe there will be some breakout stars, even if you do not think of the Rams and Chargers as teams that have a lot of dynamic personalities.
But ready or not, Hard knuckles is here.
2. LeBron went for the appearance of the open shirt when he showed up to Monday night’s game against the Nuggets.
LeBron’s friend Dwyane Wade was quick to mock the King Within the NBA.
After defeating the Nuggets and throwing up 29 points and 12 assists, LeBron got wind of Wade’s move and summed up TNT’s studio shows perfectly, saying, “Y’ll go crazy in that studio.”
3. After Tfielda Bay center fielder Kevin Kiermaier made a nice catch to rob Boston’s Jonathan Araúz of a hit Monday night, Araúz’s teammate Michael Chavis had a must-see reaction.
4. Nice job here by the Pirates, who send baseballs that land in season ticket holders seats to the site holders.
5. New York Post media reporter Andrew Marchand reports that ESPN will continue with Steve Levy, Louis Riddick and Brian Griese Football Night of Monday unlike Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit, even if the college football season is canceled (which it will not).
6. Leonard Fournette is the latest athlete to give us a great quote for coronavirus.
