Hank Bachmeier stands out for the Boise State Broncos


Boise State quarterback Hank Bachmier is unavailable for the 21st-ranked Broncos home game against BYU at 9pm on Friday, the school announced.

It is the second game in a row that he will miss for unknown reasons.

Junior Jack Sears, relocating from USC, will begin again in place of BM Commissar. He led the Broncos to a 49-30 victory in the Air Force last week. Sears, who won the U.S.C. in 2018. To start a game, he made 17 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns in the win, showing a strict command of the offense until the summer he was not familiar with.

Boise State coach Brian Hersen did not give any indication of Bashmir’s availability to local reporters during the week as per his policy. The team was without four players on Friday due to protocol related to COVID-19, the school announced.

The game is one of four matchups between the ranked teams this weekend in the College Ledge Football and could play a key role in both teams’ quest to reach the New Year’s Six Bowl game.
