3 343 industries have confirmed that Halo Infinity The Game Awards 2020 will not be present, noting that a “high-level update” is coming in the next few weeks.
Commenting on Reddit’s weekly discussion thread on Hello Infinity, 343 Industry Community Director Brian Jarard explained that releasing a demo or giving a major update for the Game Awards is out of the question due to time constraints. Jarard says the development team uses every time allotted by the recent delay to work on the game.
“Right now we’re going through a huge cascade of relevance shift effects and impact and the team is working on almost every aspect of the game,” he says. “The full announcement we don’t have anything planned for VGA, but hope to provide at least a high-level update in the next few weeks so we can resume this type of travel after the holidays.”
We’ve heard from 343 before that we’ve heard before that Daewoo is using the extra time to make Halo Infinity a better game by adding new features. Jarrard promises constant updates on the game in the lead up to its 2021 release date.
“I know it’s hard to wait, but the team will make the most of this extra time and we want to make sure we can put our best foot forward and get a commitment to greater transparency and dialogue on the road ahead. Go there and train Go again, ”he says.
