A trusted source for Halo recently released details of what fans can expect from Halo Infinite.
The reveal of the main Microsoft games for Xbox Series X is scheduled for Thursday, July 23. That means fans only have to wait two more days for the official Halo Infinite game, which has been confirmed for the show, however we’re apparently just going to take a look at the Halo Infinite campaign.
Anyway, a well-known Halo connoisseur who follows Klobrille’s lead recently tackled a supposedly accurate leak from Halo Infinite. According to Klobrille, it was totally false.
“The leak is still false,” Klobrille wrote in a ResetEra thread. “My problem is limited, but it’s more like a Halo 3-like gear pickup. I have no idea how it’s included in the campaign.”
If it’s not included in the campaign, we probably won’t see it this Thursday. However, the idea of the team returning is promising: Right now, Infinite basically sounds like the Halo 3 riffs, but with power-ups and a faster beat.
“Halo Infinite Arena is about going back to the classic map control game (power weapons and power-ups),” Klobrille wrote in another comment. “There are a lot of great map boosters to complement the sandbox.”
“Grappling hook, push or classics like the parasol. This is all very dynamic and of course it can vary greatly depending on the playlist etc. But more about all that at a later date.
It’s also refreshing to see that, according to Klobrille, who has provided reliable Halo information in the past, 343 is planning to experiment with Infinite.
“I think people will quickly realize that nothing is absolute at HI,” said Klobrille. “The game will probably have the largest player base a Halo game has ever had, there’s plenty of room for experimentation and lots of playlist options.”
“They are building systems to dynamically change / balance things and enable a diverse set of different multiplayer and Arena experiences, all the more so when you look at the ridiculous options Forge will bring.”
Personally, I can’t wait to see how a Halo 3 Forge mode could form with more chaos.
Other fans in the thread have been sharing their wish lists for Infinite. One person mentioned the Halo Reach removed content video from PAX 2010, drawing attention to the character approach that never made it to the end game. If you jump to 1:12 in the embedded video below, you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Regardless, Klobrille is reliable enough that this information is worth taking seriously. Since Halo 3 is still the game that Halo Infinite needs to beat to survive, these details are really promising.
