Not that it was a competition – but when it comes to the battle of the lockdown caps, Hailey Bieber would be up there. I’ll call it.
For most people, maintaining blond hair (and regrowing the root that comes with it) was a nightmare during lockdown, as salons remained closed to control the spread of the virus at its full height.
But while resting in place throughout the spring and early summer, Hails let her golden blonde hair grow out, and masterfully grew her roots into a borderline ombre vibe.
And it becomes clear that embracing her roots was a good call, as she was now somehow able to mix two ultimate trends – mink hair color and honey blonde – by letting her natural mouse tones through and letting her platinum shades warm up a little. .
We’m not sure if Hailey has made trips to see colorists since reducing the lockdown – she tagged hairstylist Amanda Lee in later Instagram stories with her locks thrown in adorable pigtails, so we assume she enlisted the help of experts calls to turn their roots in this masterpiece.
It goes without saying, of course, that Hailey’s hair is so multidimensional that it tends to look different in different light, so at this point we have no idea what her current resting shade is.
Safe to say, fans are impressed with Hailey’s current appearance, with flame emojis being placed in the comments section left, right and center (including a highly acclaimed response from MUA Katie Jane Hughes).

… and here Hailey demonstrates the trickery that takes place when hiding dark roots with cleverly placed ponytails and pigtails – can we just appreciate how blond the lengths suddenly look? The woman is a magician, I swear.
However, I intend to brush my own carrots in the morning with pigtails in the hope that I can also figure out my “I’m still waiting for my appointment” for carrots like HB.
