It was the start of a wave of acquisitions of high-profile Twitter accounts, including Apple, Uber, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and various crypto-related companies. The tweet was removed minutes after it was sent, before a second tweet asking for bitcoin from the same account was posted and removed again.
