Gutfeld beats Biden over climate change plan: ‘Nine-year apocalyptic vision’ is not ‘based on any science’

“The Five” co-host Greg Gutfeld argued on Tuesday that Joe Biden’s strategy to combat climate change is not based on established science, but rather on the left-wing “hysteria” conjured by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y.

“Biden, financially, is a little scary because he is fully involved in the Green New Deal, including this nine-year apocalyptic vision that is not based on any science but rather on AOC-led hysteria,” said “Greg” host Gutfeld Show “.

During his comments in Wilmington, Biden accused President Trump of considering climate change as a “hoax”, and stated that “science tells us that we have nine years before the damage is irreversible.”

“We are going to make historic investments, so we will take the opportunity to meet this moment in history,” said the former vice president. “We will get to work to deliver results immediately on day one.”

Later in the segment, Gutfeld reflected that while Democrats have long claimed to protect the United States’ social “safety net,” Republicans and President Trump are now the true holders of that cloak.

“I want people to think about what the 2020 experience was,” he said. “When we had an economy built by the Republicans and designed by Trump that was essentially a safety net that was tested, it was actually tested [by the pandemic], and actually succeeded.

“Unlike the safety nets created by Democrats, this safety net was tested by a new catastrophe that we have never experienced in our lives. No one has starved, we have succeeded … We are succeeding in large part because to this incredible economy that allowed a safety net to take place offering these payments to make sure people were okay. This was a Republican-built safety net that knocked down the doors of any Democratic safety net for the past 50 years “

On the other hand, Gutfeld continued, Biden and the Democrats have postulated an “apocalyptic vision” that “chooses the ‘mafia’ over the individual.”

“Biden is driving the envy policy,” he said, “and that won’t get us anywhere in the long term, not even the short term.”
