Guards protect the home where the St. Louis couple pulled weapons as protesters return


The St. Louis couple who pointed guns at protesters tightened the security of their home.

Hundreds of protesters returned Friday and circled the fence around the property of Mark and Patricia McCloskey, who are personal injury attorneys., how More than a dozen men in casual clothes walked through the gardens.

Protesters stopped at the McCloskeys’ home for about 15 minutes, with signs reading “Black Lives Matter,” “Defund the Police,” and “No Justice, No Peace.” They also sang phrases like: “When black lives are under attack, what do we do? The couple went viral last week after video footage showed them screaming and pointing their guns at protesters passing by their mansion in a private, gated community.

Patricia, 61, at one point crossed the lawn with her pistol while her husband Mark, 63, stood in the yard with a rifle. The McCloskeys bought their big house in 1988, according to St. Louis Magazine.

The couple said they “feared for our lives” when they drew their weapons, according to KMOV.

Protesters were marching toward the home of Mayor Lyda Krewson, who faces a backlash after relaying the personal information of her constituents calling for the police to be removed.

Krewson apologized after revealing his constituents’ information during a public meeting.
