Grimes has publicly asked his partner Elon Musk to turn off his phone after he sparked a backlash with a recent tweet that wrote “Pronouns Suck.”
Musk went to Twitter today (July 25) to condemn Twitter users with a 🌹 in their control, which, according to Mashable, is the “best representation or symbol of the political group, Democratic Socialists of America”.
“🌹 Twitter sucks,” Musk wrote, before putting a 🌹 on his username. Soon after, he tweeted “Pronouns suck.”

In a now-deleted reply, Grimes responded to Musk’s latest tweet by asking him to turn off his phone or call her.
“I love you, but please turn off your phone or give me a break [sic],” she wrote.
“I can’t bear the hate. Please put this down. I know this is not your heart.
While Grimes’ reply has been removed, Musk’s original tweet, as of this writing, is still public.
Musk recently made headlines after declaring his support for the Kanye West presidential campaign, reconsidering his stance soon after.
“We may have more differences of opinion than I expected,” Musk tweeted after West’s controversial interview with Forbes where he mentioned that it was “pro-life” and that vaccines were “the mark of the beast”.
Grimes and Musk welcomed their first child, X AE A-XII, in May. Grimes also released her latest album, ‘Miss Anthropocene’, in February.
In a four-star review of the album, NME He said it was “full of imagination and full of beauty”.
