Green Bay Packers WR Davant Adams says it’s happening outside of Monday night’s football game, canceling the tweet

Davante Adams, the Green Bay Packers’ wide receiver, said in a recent tweet that he would not play in Monday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Adams will miss his second straight game due to a hamstring injury during the Green Bay Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions.

Adams was officially listed as questionable after being limited in practice last week. He hinted in his tweet that he wants to play on Monday but is getting out.

“Sorry fans and friends I can’t come on the field tonight. I’ve done everything I have to do and proved I’m ready but I don’t think I know my body and others. My boys have good luck there “The letter has been deleted,” Adams said in a tweet.

The Packers will also be without receiver Alan Lazard, who last week underwent core muscle surgery after Green Bay’s No. 1 width without Adams.

Adams said this past week that he wants to make sure he is 100% before he comes back.

“I’ll make sure I feel normal – like before that happens – before I get out of there,” Adams said Thursday. “So we’re doing our thing to make sure of that.”

Last week, Adams worked just hours before the kick-off against the New Orleans Saints before being denied.

Adams finally said, “The whole week’s plan was to get a good feeling to see how I felt, just to give me the time I needed, and to conclude that I wasn’t ready yet,” Adams said last week. “It was close. I felt good, but I wanted to be as smart as possible, so we decided to keep it going.”

At least one other Packers player has expressed frustration that he has been left out of a game this season. Billy Turner, who suffered a knee injury during training camp, was right-handed, inactive for the opener, but then dressed – and not played – before returning to the lineup in Week 3 in Week 2.

“Without discussing my injury because it’s not something I’m talking about, you should ask the coaching staff and medical staff about it,” Turner said. “Those weren’t my decisions. But here we are going in Week 4, and I’m playing and I’m healthy and that’s all I can say.”
