Governor Jared Police announced they are seeking approval from the CDPHE to move all Level Red Counties to Level Orange in January.

Colon. (KRDO) – Governor Jared Police issued a statement Wednesday night saying they are asking the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment to move all counties to Level Red to dial in Level Orange. If approved, this will take effect on Monday, January 4, 2021.

Government police said that after reviewing the data, they found that Colorado has been in a steady decline for 13 days, and only 73% of ICU beds across the state are in use.

He thanked the Colorado and they tried to protect themselves and others. The governor encourages people to continue the safety-mindedness through the new year, to help avoid other lockdowns.

This change only applies to the counties currently in Red, which include El Paso County and Pueblo County.
