Ronald Koeman has not even been installed as Barcelona’s manager yet, but that’s not a concern for the rumor mill that jumped into action before his arrival at the Camp Nou.
According to le10Sport, Koeman is already thinking about which players he wants to bring to Barcelona and he is quite worried about Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.
The 23-year-old has previously been linked with both Real Madrid and Manchester United, but those rumors have disappeared recently.
Van de Beek spoke about his future recently in an interview with Fox Sports:
“It is very messy, at least a very sloppy period in terms of transfers. Nothing is certain yet. I’m still a Ajax player and I’m still proud to be there.
“If it were not for the coronavirus, it could be different now. There is no clarity now and we will have to wait and see how it turns out.
“I’m still here and after all these years I still have a lot of fun. If I also play for Ajax next season, I still have a lot of fun. You will not hear me complain. ‘
Koeman has apparently worked with Van de Beek on the Dutch national team, while a move to Barca would see him reconnected with Frenkie de Jong.
