You can check out 13 minutes of pre-alpha gameplay below, including exploration, combat, stealth, boss battles, a montage of various environments, and a giant battle shot for good measure:It is safe to say that the first impressions have been very good, with the gameplay flying the r / games subreddit up, and comments almost universally positive. “This looks great,” said Reddit user xg4m3CYT. “The game came out of nowhere, is made by an indie studio, and has swept the floor completely with most of the announced AAA games.”
For a measure of how well this goes down, the gameplay – which was uploaded today – has already been viewed more than 4.6 million times on the Chinese video streaming website BiliBili alone.
No release date has been set, and with good reason – Game Science explains that the team is very small at the moment, and uses the early announcement to bring new talent to the studio to help build the final version.A FAQ on the game’s website states that “it should not last 500 years”, but that the game will only be released if the studio is satisfied with the final product. It seems likely then that this will be a game focused on platforms for next gen.
